Dead baby ID case plea

Saturday 10th April 2010, 11:30AM BST.

A woman from Chirk has denied using a dead baby’s identity to get a false passport and claim benefits.

Georgina Sharon Murphy, 53, of Pen y Waun, will stand trial in the summer.

At a plea and directions hearing at Mold Crown Court yesterday she denied all ten charges against her.

The prosecution allege that she took on the identity of Gail Jones, born in May 1957, but who died many years ago.

Judge John Rogers QC fixed a trial date in July.
