Restrictions on A5 stay

Thursday 8th April 2010, 10:49AM BST.

Speed restrictions and a ban on overtaking could remain on the A5 Chirk bypass until next week, road bosses warned today.

The restrictions have been put in place to allow repairs to be carried out on the bypass parapet which was damaged in a horrific crash last month in which two motorists and several cattle died.

The restrictions have included a 40mph speed limit on the bypass, a ban on overtaking and the closure of a crawler lane.
