Man admits trans-Atlantic bigamy

A 51-year-old Shropshire bigamist left a trail of devastation on both sides of the Atlantic after leaving two women high and dry financially and emotionally.
James Paul Fletcher, of Moreton Crescent, Belle Vue, Shrewsbury, today admitted marrying a woman in America while he was still legally bound to a Brit.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction and the case will now be held at Shrewsbury Crown Court.
Fletcher was granted unconditional bail.
