Arrest after drugs raid in Shrewbury

Thursday 8th April 2010, 11:29AM BST.

A man was arrested and drugs worth about £2,000 recovered when police carried out a search warrant at a Shrewsbury home.

Officers executed the warrant at an address in Gloucester Road yesterday.

They seized drugs thought to be cocaine together with associated paraphernalia and over £1,700 in cash.

Detective Inspector Gavin Kinrade said today: “A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. He was released on police bail pending further inquiries.”
