Race fans get Dreamer taste

Shropshire race fans got a winning pointer to Saturday’s Grand National at Eyton-on-Severn’s Easter meeting.
Nomadic Dreamer, trained by Philip Rowley at Morville, near Bridgnorth, was a very impressive winner of yesterday’s Confined race under Liam Payter.
They pulled clear from the third last fence to win easing down by seven lengths from the staying on Glidewell, the favourite History Master under Richard Burton was a further three lengths back in third.
And Nomadic Dreamer is a half brother to Big Fella Thanks, the current ante-post favourite for the Aintree marathon who will be the ride of Ruby Walsh.
The Eyton winner is co-owned by Ann Tolhurst and Juliet Minton, having been bought two years ago in Ireland by bloodstock agent, Juliet’s husband David, for 15,000 euros.
He may now run in a hunter chase at Exeter next, but his main aim is the Intermediate Final at Cheltenham in May.
Former national point-to-point champion jockey Burton did manage two winners on a day of local winners at Eyton.
