Torquay 2 Shrewsbury 1
Sunday 4th April 2010, 10:21AM BST.
Shrewsbury Town’s League Two play-off hopes are hanging by a thread after they went down at Torquay – suffering their fifth consecutive defeat.
Town had taken a first half lead when right-back Dean Holden’s shot was deflected in by Gulls goalkeeper Scott Bevan – a former Shrewsbury man.
But the Devon side were level just two minutes into the second half, Mark Ellis firing in off a corner.
And Scott Rendell pounced in the 61st minute for what proved to be the winner.
