A Shropshire church is to finally undergo a £150,000 makeover after work was delayed for three months due to planning issues.

The Reverend Matthew Stafford is hoping the six-figure makeover of Holy Trinity Church in Wrockwardine Wood, Telford, will help bring the community feeling back into the parish.

Mr Stafford, who took over the parish in 2002, said the refurbishment had been due to start in January but was delayed at a result of planning problems.

The church, built in 1833, had its tower, clock and ceiling restored last year but this latest work, which is expected to take about three months, will completely regenerate the church.
