Family’s pride as Nick walks again
Wednesday 31st March 2010, 8:40AM BST.
He said: “It has been fantastic to see and catch up with the troop and it has driven my rehab so I could be here.
“I am getting used to my new legs and it’s still difficult but I am getting the miles in.”
Five Royal Engineers were killed in action during the deployment.
After the parade through town, the troops had an opportunity to rest before marching on to the parade square to the music of the band of the Army Air Corps in front of hundreds of family and friends.
