Town set to smash ticket barrier
Saturday 27th March 2010, 11:30AM GMT.
Shrewsbury Town are on course to smash through the 1,000 season ticket barrier for the 2010-11 season within the next few days.
More than 740 tickets have already been sold for next season, with supporters taking advantage of prices being pegged at the same level at this campaign during a special early bird offer.
That is due to end on Thursday and officials are confident of a late surge before the increase in prices kick in.
“The early bird offer as been a success and we are on a par with last season which is excellent,” said general manager Jon Harris.
“Prices have been at the same level for the early bird offers for the third season in a row and it represents excellent value for money whether we are in League One or League Two next season.
“We sold 1,900 early bird season tickets last year and a lot of those came in the last week of the offer so we are hopeful of pushing that numbers again.”
Shrewsbury currently have 3,200 season ticket holders when corporate packages are taken into account.
