Shrewsbury 0 Darlington 2
Saturday 27th March 2010, 7:58PM GMT.
Shrewsbury Town slipped to an embarrassing defeat at home to League Two’s bottom club Darlington.
Town had been looking to get back to winning ways and re-ignited their play-off push, but instead suffered a fourth consecutive defeat.
The Quakers took the lead when Tadgh Purcell struck after just eight minutes, and they made the points safe when Mor Diop side-footed home three minutes from time.

Oh dear. It must be an embarassing time to be a stfc supporter. Good luck town in smashing your 1000 season ticket barrier after this dismal performance. League 2 for another season, there was never any doubt!

After such a humiliating defeat, PS should do as Tony Mowbray did and leave the club otherwise the anticipated rush for season tickets will hit the buffers.

Good job i can get free tickets with the use of a HM Forces I.D.
I hope that if Shrewsbury play this bad next year i can still get complimentary tickets.

Unfortunately PS will blame the players. We had two defenders who were hopelessly outpaced by the opposition but PS failed to change the formation to give these players support.
Picking the ball up at the half way line, doing a 360 degree turn and then passing back to the keeper will not bring goals.
And a big hand to Kelvin Langmead – the only player on the pitch at the end to have the manners and respect to acknowledge the crowd.
