As Britain goes “dine-with-me” crazy, Shropshire’s very own freelance butler Carl Stanfield, says it is important to remember that entertaining is not all about the food.
Carl, from Oswestry, has been a real-life Mr Hudson – his Upstairs Downstairs hero – for more than 30 years and is well used to making sure that his employer’s dining parties go off without a hitch.
He says the current trend for dining at home can leave some people floundering.
