Head injury for walker

A pedestrian suffered a serious head injury following a collision with a car in Shrewsbury.

The incident happened at about 8pm yesterday in Abbey Foregate, near to the Old Bush Inn.

Constable Lee Grantham, from West Mercia Police, said a silver Mazda 6 saloon was in collision with a man in his 60s.

He said the man was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, where he remained in a stable condition today.
