The A5 Chirk bypass reopened today three days after two people were killed in a horrific crash.

The reopening came as fresh calls were made for improvements to the A5 from MP Owen Paterson.

    I am a retired West Mercia Traffic Motor Cyclist.Now living in Bournemouth.
    I used to Police this road regually. Speed Enforcement on this section of road used to detect speeds sometimes of over 100mph. This was in the 90′s and it would appear it is no better now. It is tragic when there are fatalities but the old ‘maxim’ speed kills is certainly correct
