County workers on picket lines

Shropshire workers from the public sector were joining picket lines across the county today as hundreds of thousands of civil servants staged a national strike.
In an escalation of a bitter dispute over cuts in redundancy pay, the Public and Commercial Services union said it wanted to “ratchet up” political pressure.
