Rugby clash boys injured

air_ambulance4Two teenage boys were injured during a rugby match in Shropshire.

One was airlifted to hospital after suffering neck and shoulder pain in the match at Bridgnorth Rugby Club at about 11am yesterday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the boy, 16, was flown to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.

Spokeswoman Claire Thomas said a second 16-year-old suffered a serious ankle injury. Crews administered pain relief and he was taken by ambulance to the same hospital.
