Yobs in vehicle wrecking spree

Vandals went on the rampage at a Wem garage, smashing up six cars and setting a seventh alight, police said today.
Officers are treating the incident as criminal damage.
The vehicles were all in a yard in Shrewsbury Road when a Land Rover, was set alight and attempts were made to torch two other cars.
Windows were smashed on at least seven vehicles, all believed to be scrap and used for spare parts.
Firefighters reported the blaze, which happened between 11pm on Sunday and 12.40am the next day, to police. Information to police on 03003 333000.
