Firefighters were forced to break a car window in order to rescue a child who became trapped inside the vehicle outside a school near Tenbury Wells.

Officers took 15 minutes to release the boy from the car parked outside Burford Primary School at about 3.45pm yesterday.

David James, for Tenbury Fire and Rescue, said: “Someone had locked their keys in the car when collecting their children from the school.”
