Merger sees jobs created
Wednesday 17th March 2010, 6:00PM GMT.
Jobs have been created in Telford after the £7.5 million merger of two firms – including one run by former Wolves footballer John Richards.
Maxwell Holdings has been created after Pitchcare and Amenity Land Solutions teamed up.
It has seen Pitchcare, which is run by Mr Richards and former Molineux groundsman Dave Saltman, transfer to Amenity Land Solutions’ base in Allscott from Wolverhampton as part of the deal.
Bosses said they hoped to strengthen the foothold the businesses had in the turf care industry.
Eight jobs have been created through the merger.
More will follow if the aim of an £11 million turnover this year is achieved.
