St Patrick’s Day came early for 500 soldiers at a Shropshire barracks, who celebrated in true Irish style.
The Royal Irish Regiment took part in the St Patrick’s Day parade at Clive Barracks, Tern Hill, on Saturday. Crowds watched the parade ahead of the regiment’s deployment to Afghanistan in August.
