Shropshire and Mid Wales pooches dominated breed classes at this year’s DFS Crufts scampering away with top honours.
Welshpool pensioner Chris Norman and her dog Rocky, a five-year-old Lancashire Heeler, helped Shropshire collar best of breed at the world famous show.
Retired dog groomer Mrs Norman, 66, from Forden, and Rocky showed nerves of steel as they performed in front of a near sell-out crowd.
Delighted Mrs Norman said: “Rocky is my baby, he’s just wonderful and it’s a lovely breed.
“Crufts is always a special show so it’s fantastic to win and we’ve had a wonderful day.
“He’s a happy little dog and I just hope he can sparkle in the ring like he does at home.”
