Launch of new network

Monday 15th March 2010, 1:50PM GMT.

More than 75 people turned out for the Craven Arms Business Fair which relaunched the area’s Business Network.

The event also saw the premiere of the Craven Arms promotional commercial video created by Des Seal which focuses on companies in the town.

Around 20 businesses also exhibited at the event which was supported by Ludlow Distillery and Wood Brewery and EPS Limited, which loaned a 50-inch plasma screen and equipment.

Edward Wood, of Wood Brewery said: “What I like about the Business Fair was seeing people that actually make real things . . . a better mix of businesses other than just financial consultants and accountants and estate agents.”

Andrew Corbett, chairman of the network. said:  “I’m really pleased with such a fantastic turnout. This has shown the strength and determination of the businesses in the SY7 area and we intend to follow this up with some great networking meetings and an interactive website to help businesses in Craven Arms and surrounding areas to connect.”

The next meeting of the Craven Arms Biz Network, will take place towards the end of March and the future of the network will be shaped by the membership’s wishes as indicated by a questionnaire completed at the event.
