Tickets for a new music festival in Oswestry which has been billed as an affordable alternative to the V and Glastonbury-style festivals, will go on sale this weekend.

Osfest will set up camp at the Park Hall Showground on May 29 and 30. The camping music festival will be run by the Shropshire-based event management company 7th Sense.

OsFest will transform the 37-acre showground site into a festival village with several camping areas, a food village, VIP hospitality suites, a main stage, funfair and many other attractions.

Tomorrow the event’s box office will be officially opened at 24 Church Street, in Oswestry at 10am. Acts this year will include Lemar, The Holloways, Reverend and the Makers, Booty Luv, The Fillers, Kid British and Goldie Lookin’ Chain.

Visitors who attend on the opening day will get the opportunity to buy discount weekend camping tickets for £40.
