Relatives and friends leave St John's Church after the service for Hugh McFall.
About 100 people turned out for a service in Shropshire today in memory of Hugh McFall, who is believed to have killed his wife and daughter before taking his own life.
The body of Mr McFall was found in the business premises he rented in St Martins near Oswestry on February 5.
Police made the discovery hours after finding the bodies of his wife Susan McFall and 18-year-old daughter Frankie at the family home in Oswestry.
Today relatives and friends of Mr McFall turned out at St John’s Church in Weston Rhyn for the service in the village which still has connections to his family.
Colleagues from Stans Superstore in St Martins, for whom Mr McFall was a wholesale florist, were among those who attended today.
Before the service began Mr McFall’s family released a statement which said: “We remain shocked and bewildered by this inexplicable tragedy. We are so deeply, deeply sad that the life of our dear Hugh has ended in this way.
“In losing Sue and our beautiful Frankie, a unique and special part of our family has gone.
“We have been cradled and carried by the prayers, love and support of our church, friends and community and we have been strengthened and encouraged by the unity that Hugh’s family and Sue’s truly remarkable family have maintained through all of this.”
Earlier this week hundreds of people packed into Oswestry’s parish church for a service of remembrance for Mrs McFall and Frankie.
Police are still investigating the circumstances behind the deaths.
