Dog of the Week: Sparkle
Wednesday 10th March 2010, 6:13AM GMT.
This week Dogs Trust Roden is appealing for a foster home for Sparkle, a twelve year old female terrier cross.
All too often elderly dogs in need of a home find themselves over-looked – and this is just the case for dear little Sparkle who, in her twilight years, is looking for a special full-time foster home.
Louise Campbell, Manager of Dogs Trust Roden, said: “Sparkle has a heart-murmur and a result will spend the rest of her life on medication which will be paid for by Dogs Trust. This condition does not affect her quality of life; she just enjoys a slightly slower pace.
“We would love to see her go to an exceptionally loving home where she can be deservedly spoilt; Sparkle is very affectionate, excellent with other dogs and cats – she’s an old lady so would be happier in a quiet home.”
If you think that Sparkle could be the dog for you or you are interested in any of the other canine residents of Dogs Trust Roden then please contact the Rehoming Centre on 01952 770225 or visit www.dogstrust.org.uk/rehoming
