Woman, 25, is stabbed during fight

Monday 8th March 2010, 4:30PM GMT.

A woman suffered leg and chest injuries after being stabbed following a fight at a Telford home.

Police said today the fight broke out between a group of people at a house in Fifth Avenue, Ketley Bank, yesterday afternoon.

As a result of the altercation, which happened between 5.30pm and 6.30pm, a 25-year-old woman was left with minor puncture wounds to her right leg and grazes to her chest.

Officers believe the fight was sparked by a row that took place earlier in the day at the Hare and Hounds pub in Ketley.

Telford police spokesman Chris Ammonds said the group of people involved seemed to know each other. He said: “It remains unclear exactly how the woman suffered her injuries.”
