Town’s unclaimed lottery prize

Friday 26th February 2010, 3:00PM GMT.

Unclaimed lottery prizeSomeone in Telford could be literally sitting on a £60,000-plus Lottery windfall after Camelot bosses revealed a winning ticket bought in the town had yet to be claimed.

The lottery organisers are urging people to check under their sofas for the winning ticket, which matched five numbers and the bonus ball in the Wednesday draw made on February 10.

The winning numbers on that date were 5, 7, 15, 37, 42, 44 and the bonus ball was 3.

In the same draw, another lucky ticket-holder has won £1.2 million and has yet to come forward. The ticket was bought in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

Camelot chiefs said the Shropshire ticket-holder had until teatime on August 9 to claim the £60,415 prize.

If no-one comes forward before then the cash and the interest generated from it will go to charity.

National Lottery spokesman Patrick Lisoire said: “We are desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings.

“This amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life and we are urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.

“We would urge people to try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa.”

Anyone who believes they may have the winning ticket should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
