Inquiry over fire attack

Thursday 25th February 2010, 12:29PM GMT.

Vandals hurled a bottle containing a flammable liquid at a house in Telford while the owners were inside.

Police were today investigating the attack on the property in Donnington shortly before 11.35pm yesterday.

Chris Ammonds, Telford police spokesman, said the missile had caused some damage to the front door of the School Road property.

Mr Ammonds said a red or maroon vehicle, possibly a Volvo, was seen leaving the scene.

The small fire was out when firefighters from Wellington Fire Station arrived at the scene.
