Tuesday 23rd February 2010, 11:07AM GMT.

A woman in her 60s was in a critical condition in hospital today after a three-vehicle crash near the south Shropshire border which left a road shut for more than five hours.

The woman was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham with a serious head injury after the collision at about 3pm yesterday on the A4113 at the junction with the B4367, between Bucknell and Leintwardine in Herefordshire.

West Mercia Police said the woman was in a “critical but stable” condition.
