 'The Weir, Ludlow.' Undated but probably Edwardian postcard.

Don’t worry – one of them is a health & safety officer.
Actually, it must be 100 years or more since this photo was taken of children messing about on the weir at Ludlow. The photo is a postcard from the collection of Ray Farlow of Bridgnorth. The postcard bears the impressed stamp on the front of “George E. White, Ludlow” who was no doubt the local photographer at the time.

    the coming together of the ford mk 1 consul and the guy otter or vixen pantechnicon is of interest. sadly there is no evidence of local interest as neither vehicle is sporting a local registration plate.
    the mk 1 consul was made circa 1954-1957 and the guy made circa 1946- 1954. i suspect this incident took place about 1958. incidentally dinky toys made an excellent model of both these vehicles!
