Search for Hayden, 18, goes on
Thursday 18th February 2010, 11:56AM GMT.
The search for missing Shrewsbury teenager Hayden Reynolds-Evans was continuing today 24 hours after police divers searched part of the River Severn.
The divers were not expected to go back into the water today, but police spokesman Richard Ewels said the search for Hayden, 18, would continue.
He said: “Police divers were not set to continue the river search today, but the hunt is continuing through the town.
“House-to-house inquiries have been on-going and we would urge anybody with information to come forward and speak to us as soon as possible.”
Hayden, of Castle Foregate, has not been seen since leaving The Albion Vaults pub in Castle Foregate, on February 1.
His family has issued a desperate plea for anybody who has information to get in touch with police and said that his disappearance was “totally out of character”.
Hayden is well known in Shrewsbury through his work at the Bird in Hand pub in Coton Hill and at Currys, as well as through darts and dominoes leagues.
More than 4,900 people have joined a Facebook group to help find the teenager.
- Another Shrewsbury man, Andrew Griffiths, who had not been seen since February 2 has returned home to his family, police said today.
