One of the old lock gates is removed from the canal

Workmen have put new lock gates into place at a Shropshire canal crossroads which is one of the most important in Britain.

Frankton Locks, which controls the junction of the Llangollen and Montgomery Canals, has been given two new sets of gates with the other pair of gates being completely refurbished.
