Shrews land Cureton
Wednesday 17th February 2010, 3:45PM GMT.
Shrewsbury Town today landed the signing they hope will help fire them towards League One as Jamie Cureton agreed a move to the Prostar Stadium for the remainder of the season.
The 34-year-old striker, who has joined from Norwich, has been a long-standing target of manager Paul Simpson.
“I’m delighted because Jamie has got a goal-scoring record as good as anyone playing in English football today,” said Simpson.
Cureton has had spells with Bournemouth, Bristol Rovers, QPR, Swindon, Colchester and Barnsley during a career in which he has scored 204 times in 456 starts.

Good news now that Paul has a number of players to choose a good team from. Now its up to the players to prove themselves, no excuses for any more supine / surprise defeats , but we will keep all our celebrations until the time we are sure of promotion, but TOWN you have our full support.
