I am on the dole (job seakers) its ruffly £50 a week Max that you will get, doesent really go very far, you get paid once every two weeks and have to sign on at your local jobcenter every two weeks. People who dont want to work (layabouts) can be on the dole and get away with it because all you have to do it say that you have been looking for jobs etc, but people like me who go to interviews, ring up about jobs everyday, struggle to sleep at night because we have no money just have to get on with life. I ring up about jobs and hear that over 200 people have rang up and this is say for a simple job like a farm worker. 200 people is alot of people after one job. Things are looking pretty bleek at present, if you have a job and your thinking of leaving it then I would urge you to think hard because I have many qualifications and I can not got a job.
