Two men were arrested, one by members of the public, following a major police search after two lorries were stolen from Ludlow.

The police helicopter, dog handlers and response officers were among those involved in last night’s incident. Police said as the suspects attempted to run off and hide, officers moved in.

One man was detained by members of the public.

The arrests were made at Morville, near Bridgnorth.

The two men, in their 30s, were taken into custody at Shrewsbury where they were being interviewed today.
