Shropshire Business Awards 2010 launched

The Shropshire Business Awards 2010 is launched today celebrating the achievements of companies across the region.
This year is the 10th anniversary of the awards, which will be held on June 4 at the Telford International Centre.
The 2010 event will have a World Cup theme, with the black-tie awards ceremony night just one week before the tournament kicks off in South Africa.
And to celebrate the football link, a Champion of Champions award has been created, offering all nine previous winners of the Company of the Year award a chance to pick up the business honour of the decade. The awards are organised by Shropshire Chamber of Commerce and the Shropshire Star.
Chamber president Tony Randall said: “We have capacity for 1,000 guests and would be absolutely delighted if the business community could support that volume.
“Our events are huge successes but we are aware of the economic climate but we hope businesses will support the awards.”
