Man’s body found in coppice

The body of a man has been found in a coppice in a village near Oswestry.

Police were called to the coppice on the old Chirk Road in Weston Rhyn after the discovery of the body at about 5pm on Sunday.

The man has not yet been identified but police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.

Richard Ewels, a spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: “A post mortem will be held in due course and the coroner for mid and north Shropshire, Mr John Ellery, has been informed.”
