Fresh robes for deputy mayor

Ludlow’s deputy mayor is to get new robes – because he says his existing ones smell.
Councillor Derek Davies said he has been ridiculed at ceremonial events and asked how old his robes are.
Ludlow Town Council last night agreed for the mayoral allowance to be used to buy the items, in addition to a mayoral hat and 13 navy blue robes for councillors.
