Skipping lessons on offer in town
Monday 8th February 2010, 7:11AM GMT.
Skipping is good for the heart – and a national charity is running a free workshop in Telford this month to encourage youngsters to take it up in schools.
The workshop is aimed at teachers and will be held at Charlton School, Wellington, from 4pm to 6pm on February 24.
It is being run by the British Heart Foundation.
Spokeswoman Clare Cassidy said the practical session was perfect for any teacher keen to get their school skipping.
She said: “If you’re keen to engage your pupils with an exciting and energetic activity then come along to our workshop and learn how you could bring skipping into the classroom.”
To attend the skipping workshop call Sim Shardra on (0121) 722 8350.
