Employer’s tribute to Susan McFall
Monday 8th February 2010, 8:00PM GMT.
Susan McFall’s employers today paid tribute to her as a popular member of staff.
Colleagues at HSBC were returning to work today still trying to come to terms with her death.
A statement from the company said: “Susan McFall was an extremely popular member of staff at our Llanrhaeadr branch.
“Her friends and colleagues at HSBC are devastated by this tragic news and our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.”
Mrs McFall, who was a part-time cashier at HSBC, had worked for the bank for many years.
Younger people in Oswestry were also struggling to deal with the tragedy.
The McFalls’ 18-year-old daughter Frankie was a student at Oswestry School, where she was studying for her A-levels.
She had been looking forward to attending a Valentine ball on Friday at the school.
The ball was cancelled and instead teenagers from the school gathered at each other’s houses to give each other comfort and support.
Friends from Oswestry’s Marches School and Technology College were also in shock.
Frankie had been a student at the secondary school and had been made head girl in her final year there while studying for her GCSEs.
The schools, together with Walford and North Shropshire College, where the teenager had spent a short time, said they would be making a joint statement paying tribute to Frankie.
