Ex-rugby ace goes back to school

Wednesday 3rd February 2010, 9:55AM GMT.

Former Welsh rugby union international Chris Horsman is to go back to school tomorrow when he visits a south Shropshire college.

Staff and pupils at Bishop’s Castle Community College will welcome the rugby star just days ahead of the start of the 2010 Six Nations Championship as part of the Sky Sports Living for Sport initiative.

The students will spend the day with Mr Horsman and will take a classroom session discussing his own struggle through sport.

He will then lead a practical session with the youngsters where they will participate in some friendly competition.

Sky Sports Living for Sport is a free online tool that has been designed for young people, encouraging them to take on different activities and learn new sports to help them reach their potential.

As a highly respected Welsh rugby union star, Mr Horsman joins 17 athletes involved in the programme.
