Weather frustrates Bucks – again

Temperatures dropped well below freezing overnight and the Blue Square North match was called off following a pitch inspection at 11.30am.

A club statement said: “A strip of the pitch in front of the Frank Nagington Stand is frozen and the match referee has decided that it is unlikely to thaw before kick off.”

And chairman Lee Carter added: “We are absolutely gutted. We looked and looked at preparations for this game, but obviously not hard enough. To say we are pretty distraught is an absolute understatement.”
