It was the turn of the judging panel to take charge as more singers, dancers and musicians auditioned for Telford’s Talent 2010.
The latest audition, at Coalbrookdale Community Centre on Saturday, was another chance for performers to make it through to the grand final in April.
The competition was called Telford’s Got Talent last year and has been organised by young people from across the town.
Amongst those to make it past the judging panel was theatrical singer Aimee Lake, from Wellington, who has already won a place at the world-famous Mountview Theatre Academy.
It was the same for keyboard player Louis Coupe, also from Priorslee, who progressed all the way to the final last year – and had little trouble in gaining a place at boot camp.
Dancer and singer Ragan Riley, from Newport, also made it through to the next round, as did youngster Lillian Ward, from Forton.
But some of the performers failed to get a yes vote from the judges, including Sophie Jade and singing duo Renee and Milli.
Keegan McGrath, who has been helping to organise the contest, said: “I think there were some really good people we found today and some of them should definitely go through to the final.”
Hopefuls will have another chance to make it through to boot camp on Sunday, when auditions are held at the BRJ School in Wellington.
The first round is open to anyone of any age who lives in the Telford & Wrekin area, with auditions run until February 27, before the second round on March 6 and 7.
The final will be held at The Place in Oakengates on April 9, when the winner will walk away with £500.
