Evans wings out of Bucks on loan

AFC Telford United have sent winger Sean Evans out on loan to former club Stourbridge in a bid to help him rediscover his confidence.
The 22-year-old former Shrewsbury trainee only signed from the Black Country outfit at the end of November, but has so far struggled to make an impact.
He was not in the Bucks’ squad for Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Southport in the Blue Square North, and the club management hope a return to his old stomping ground could work well for both parties.
“Things haven’t gone as well as he expected or as well as we expected,” said assistant manager Larry Chambers.
“He’s lacking in confidence and wants to play some football. Stourbridge made a tentative enquiry, we spoke to him about it and we both agreed it was in his best interest.
“Hopefully he can play some football there and rediscover his form, then come back here and have an impact.”
Chambers is also confident the Bucks’ misfiring strikers will come good. Saturday’s defeat was their third in a row without finding the net – despite manager Rob Smith switching to a 4-3-3 formation in a bid to cure their shooting sickness.
But Chambers is adamant that Andy Brown, who missed a penalty on Saturday, Danny Carey-Bertam and Steve Thompson will find their shooting boots.
He said: “Sooner or later they’ll score and I hope that when they do they go on a run because with players like that it’s about confidence.
“We put crosses in and none of them dropped for us. We’ve had shots on goal and they bounce off people and they never bounced to us – we just need a bit of luck.
“When you’ve got a team who are not playing with any particular confidence and things aren’t going your way – and when you work hard like we did – if chances come your way, you’ve got to take them.”
Meanwhile new signing Aaron Brown missed the game after he picked up a hamstring strain while training with League Two side Accrington Stanley.
“The intention is that Aaron would have played but because he’s with Accrington again on Monday and they’ve got a reserve game this week he didn’t want to risk it,” said Chambers.
