The cause was never determined for certain.

the photo of the midland red bus is most interesting as i have a collection of 1950′s m/red buses taken mostly in town and at ditherington.
what interests me is the jumbo type wrecker and i wonder if it is an aec matador inside a midland red body and was it part of the bus fleet at ditherington and does anyone know the fleet number and reg. number please
