Jobs blow at Buffers

Monday 18th January 2010, 9:57AM GMT.

Twelve jobs have been lost at an Oswestry restaurant which is to reopen under new management tomorrow.

Buffers only opened at Oswestry’s former Cambrian railway station building in Oswald Road in July, creating 14 jobs.

But tough trading conditions have seen most of the jobs being lost in recent months and a new slimmed down business is to reopen.

The new business will still be called Buffers but will only open during the day, owner Kathryn Trueman said today.

Mrs Trueman said: “If things pick up I might be able to re-employ some people by Easter.”
