Arrest after sex assault
Monday 18th January 2010, 1:06PM GMT.
A man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault on a young woman in Shrewsbury.
The incident happened between 12.30am and 1am on Saturday as the teenager was walking in Sundorne Road near the Robson’s store.
Constable Al Dean said a man approached her near Corndon Crescent. He followed her and grabbed her twice before walking away.
The woman was upset but not injured. Police are appealing for witnesses to call 0300 333 3000.
A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of carrying out a sexual assault and released on police bail.
