A frozen start to 2010 has seen snow sculptures springing up all over Shropshire as county residents show their artistic side with an assortment of wacky winter wonders.

Snowmen, women, animals and even igloos and snow castles have been bringing a smile to people’s faces as they are spotted all over the region on village greens, in town squares and at roadsides.
