County in severe weather warning

The Met Office today warned that Shropshire was at ‘moderate’ risk of heavy snow tonight.

Its website warned that “accumulations of 2-5cm are likely in many places through this period, perhaps 5-10cm locally overnight. The strengthening east to southeast wind is also likely to lead to drifting of snow.
