Big freeze Britain remained in the grip of wintry weather today as heavy sleet and snow showers caused chaos on the roads across Shropshire and Mid Wales.
There were a number of accidents as motorists faced hazardous driving conditions early today – and weather experts are warning more snow is on the way.
A car overturned on the A458 at Harley Bank, near Much Wenlock, just before the morning rush hour causing huge tailbacks as the road was cleared. Two other vehicles were also involved in the accident.
There were mile-long tailbacks along the A41 near Cosford as cautious drivers were forced to crawl along the route.

What? You mean John Warner was actually right after all? I note that all those who take delight in ridiculing his weather reports always somehow disappear into the distance when he is proved right!
So the timing was a tiny bit out, fact is yet again Mr Warner was correct with his predictions.

John, What do you mean he was a little bit out?
Do you mean he predicted snow about a week before it came? It’s winter so anyone can predict snow every day and sooner or later guess what? Thye will be right.
I seem to remember him predicting a brilliant summer and a mild winter too.
