Fire crews tackle third blaze at pub
Thursday 7th January 2010, 10:22AM GMT.

The building has been badly-damaged by three fires
The first fire at The Severn Apprentice was on November 30 when the premises was the target of a suspected arson attack.
The business closed in May, but a tenant had been living above the pub following a number of break-ins.
Following the November 30 incident, which police are investigating, the tenant, Martin Hartshorne, said he was lucky to be alive after waking in the early hours.
The 49-year-old said he found a fire burning on the ground floor and he managed to escape as firefighters arrived at the scene.
A second fire hit the pub on December 28 and is also being investigated. The fire involved the ground floor and first floor bedroom of the property and four firefighters using breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and the aerial ladder was used to put out the flames.

It upsets me to see the pictures of The London Apprentice (as I knew it) I spent many happy years there. It is such a shame to see this happen. I just wish they would knock it down now. It used to be such a lovely pub and I have so many good memories and now it’s ruined.
